Forget The Pain And Muscle Soreness After A Workout   Leave a comment

Muscle soreness may last for a couple of days after a workout. You may experience some tightness and slight soreness especially during the first days of beginning a program.  Walking is one of the beat ways to put your body in motion.

The reason muscles get sore is because tiny fibers tear when you work out.  Muscle tissue will repair it’s self when you rest.  This is why an exercise plan should be preformed  2 to 3 times a week and not every day.

The amount of soreness you have largely depends upon whether you are used to a particular exercise.  If you haven’t exercised or worked a muscle for a while, you’ll be a lot sorer.  Don’t over do it.

There are some things you can do before and afterwards to reduce muscle soreness.  Stretching and massaging muscles rids lactic acid buildup.  It’s always more fun with a partner.  Your partner can get the muscles you can’t reach.

According to ScientificAmerican.com  lowering lactic acid levels can reduce soreness.

Stretching before and after you work out should be a part of your plan.  We see this all the time with professional athletes and they are in shape. If you experience a muscle cramp eat a banana.

Stretching prepares the muscles for exercise, and can help reduce the amount of soreness you experience later on.  Try to move around if you are experiencing any stiffness and soreness.  This will get more blood flowing which helps with the recovery process.

A warm bath will also help.  The Jacuzzi or hot tub is even better.
